Vapo-cresolene Quack Medicine Vaporizer Oil

This vintage oil lamp is a unique find for collectors of antique medical items. Manufactured by Cresolene, this vaporizer was used as a treatment for various respiratory ailments in the early 20th century. The lamp comes with a box and instructions, adding to its historical value.  Plus there is a newspaper clipping. Also comes with a wick that was also in the box.

Amazing to find one complete with all its parts.   The edge of the burner is marked:  "Patented Aug 4, 1885 - and - Aug 8, 1888. Burner itself measures:  6 3/8" high x 2 5/8" Across the bottom. Condition:  Lamp, burner, chimney, frame, and the little burner pan - Are all in fantastic shape.   No damage, cracks, or splits.    Would make a Great addition to your Antique Medical Equipment or Lamp collection.
